Wonderful and memorable experience! I work in and around helicopters regularly, and I was very excited to book this experience for my husband to enjoy (this was his first helicopter flight). I appreciate the strong safety culture and the aircraft was clearly well-maintained. Taylor, our pilot, was a pleasure to talk to. He was very informative and kept everyone safe. The views were stunning! What an amazing opportunity to see one of nature’s wonders, the Grand Canyon, and an awesome way to see the Las Vegas Strip. All passengers were rotated through the front seats for different legs of the flight, so everyone got an opportunity to have an unobstructed view. The sunset tour was perfectly timed, so we were able to fully enjoy the vast colors of the canyon, as well as a unique view of the Strip as the sun was going down. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary. Everyone at Maverick was incredibly nice and helped make the day memorable. We were lucky enough to get the front seats for part of the flight, and the view was absolutely amazing. They do rotate passengers so different people have an opportunity to sit up front, which I appreciated. The middle seats in the back definitely don’t have the same view, though, so that is something to keep in mind. A couple of things I wish I had known beforehand: if you are going on a warm day, dress cooler than you might expect. We had read recommendations to wear pants, but there isn't much air conditioning in the helicopter and it got quite warm. I also wish there had been more commentary during the flight. The little information that was provided was difficult to hear, and there were several times I wasn't sure exactly what we were flying over. I still couldn't tell you which part was the Mojave Desert! More information about the landmarks and areas below would have made an already incredible experience even better. Those things aside, the scenery was breathtaking, the staff was wonderful, and getting to experience this on our anniversary made it even more special. It is something we will never forget.
